A Powerpuff Girls Live-Action Series Is Coming To The CW

The Powerpuff Girls, A staple of’90s nostalgia, will soon be returning to our tv screens in the greatest way possible, due to The CW. The youth-geared community has ordered a pilot for a live-action Powerpuff Girls series for its 2021-2022 season, combined with two additional projects based on young ladies.

The brand new Powerpuff Girls show was announced As being in progress in August of this past year. The story will revolve around Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup – the exact same legendary heroine trio showcased in Craig McCracken’s first Cartoon Network Series. The updated version will demonstrate the 3 women all grown up, navigating their twentysomethings while also hoping to come to terms with the childhoods they dropped to crime-fighting.

Heather Regnier of Veronica Mars and iZombie and Diablo Cody of Juno and Jennifer’s Body are equally set to compose and executive-produce the Sequence. Greg Berlanti (Love Simon), Sarah Schechter (Black Lightning), and David Madden (Runaway Bride) May also join the job as executive producers under Berlanti Productions. Erika Kennair and Warner Bros. Video are set to create the show.

The Powerpuff Girls conducted for six seasons The Cartoon Network, Spanning a total of 78 incidents between 1998 and 2005. The superhuman sisters have been made when their dad, Professor Utonium, coupled”sugar, spice, and everything nice” together with all the mysterious Chemical X. The show received excellent reviews over the span of its television series and was made into a feature film in 2002, which was met with little commercial and critical success.

The women battled many prominent villains From the series, such as a maniacal monkey named Mojo Jojo, a brassy demon called HIM (which is, His Infernal Majesty), along with a fuzzy pink hillbilly monster called Fuzzy Lumpkins. As of this moment, it’s unknown whether these villains will take a look in the live-action reboot.

Along with The Powerpuff Girls, The CW has also arranged a pilot to Naomi, a superhero play by Ava DuVernay, a pilot for Cloister F*cked, that’s a millennial nun play by Jennie Snyder Urman, along with a reboot of this traditional sci-fi show The 4400.
